I’ve been on both, but if I had to pick one to go on again, I think it would be Grand Celebration. I think it’s the original (and thus older) ship, but for some reason, the vibe flowed better for me and I liked its selection of restaurants. Whether you want to wind down, stop by the spa, chill by the pool, or kick back in your stateroom, every second aboard Margaritaville at Sea is a chance for adventure. Overall, I had a great time on board and will gladly cruise again on Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line. When you do book a cruise on Grand Celebration, fill out all of the forms they send you before you arrive at the port. The Oasis is an adults only area in the front of the ship that was never more than half full and is the perfect place to kick back and relax. While the ship featured many modern touches, it still had the charm of an older cruise ship.
I did not set that expectation when sailing that cruise, I knew better than to make such an assumption. At 6 PM, I returned to guest service and our cabin was switched to #6069. Thank them for that, the bathroom floor did at least have a clean vinyl covering but I assure you it only covers up the same problems. As I stepped onto it, I could feel the similar dip and softness and pictured the same damaged floorboards underneath. You could even feel a similar soft spot when in the shower. At the time, I didn’t know the ship was 31 years old and hadn’t been remodeled since 2014.
